“Wonderful Stay”

We are normally not big fans of bed and breakfast, finding them too confining. However, Gloria and John have created a wonderful place for an extended stay. We stayed in the ground floor suite for 5 days. Very comfy beds, Keurig coffee maker, walk in shower, fire place, two TVs - everything anyone could want. We have family in the area and will definitely stay here when visiting Ontario again.

“Owners Who Care”
We had booked a room for one night to let us attend an engagement party for our friends, unfortunately the night before I had to spend the night in the hospital as a result of some expected issues resulting from the delivery of our baby girl three weeks prior. This stopped us from being able to make it to Port Colborne the next day. My husband called to let the owners know we would not be checking in the next day (we expected to be out the money for the room). Instead they told us not to worry about the cost of the room and wished me a speedy recovery.
We are already looking for a reason to go to Port Colborne so we can stay at the LakeBreeze and meet the owners.

“Big and Beautiful!”
I had planned a girl's trip with my mom, sister and myself this past weekend, and on Friday night we stayed in the Heritage suite which was absolutely beautiful! The suite has a lot of charm and was much larger than we were anticipating. The breakfast is slightly different than other B&B's that we have stayed at as Gloria prepares breakfast and leaves it in the room for guests to heat up/prepare for the following morning.
This ended up working out just fine for us as there's no need to be up and ready at a specified time, and one can just relax in the suite in PJ's :). I would definitely stay here again, and recommend this place to anyone travelling in the area!

“Lovely Stay”
Beautiful room with a comfy sitting area, in-room coffee, fantastic verandah. Breakfast was delicious - delivered to our room the night before so we could eat at our leisure the next morning. Mini-fridge and microwave in the suite. Friendly gracious hosts.

Hi Gloria and  John.  Thanks so much for the great service you provided  I was really impressed with the nice warm reception I received and I will return without a doubt the next time I am in your area, after staying there I would have no reason to go anywhere  else. Thanks again Gloria. You are a fantastic cook, I could learn from you.  Phyllis Dougherty

Dear Gloria and John,
Throughout our travel in the Niagara Peninsula in August 2012, your B&B in Port Colborne was the best we stayed in, and one of the highlights of our holidays.  Breakfasts were excellent, according to our diet restrictions and ready on time.
We enjoyed the private entrance, mini-fridge and air-conditioned suite.  Modern decor is outstanding in all apartments which are very clean.  Gloria and John were happy to answer our questions or to suggest dining places.  The porch surrounded by plants and light curtains is a pleasant place to relax after a day travelling.  This very comfortable B&B is located at short distance from the Canal Welland, Niagara Falls, many wineries as well as the beautiful city of Niagara-on-the-Lake.  We would definitely recommend your B&B without hesitation. Special thanks to our
charming hosts,
Celine and Pierre, Cantley, QC, Canada

Dear Gloria and John,
Rob and I would like to thank you both very much for making our holiday awesome.  Our suite was much more than what we had expected, from the large living room with flat screen TV, to the gorgeous bathroom, to our very comfortable king size bed with walk in closet.  The wrap around veranda with several sitting areas was perfect for us to just sit back and relax.  Both our breakfasts were exceptional and your eye for detail made our stay that much more enjoyable.  The bike/walking path was definitely one of the nicer ones that we have been on.  If any of your guest are looking for a nice place to eat - not fancy but very delicious I would recommend the "Canal side" restaurant for either lunch or diner.  You are both very down to earth, genuine people and we enjoyed your company throughout our stay, chatting in the mornings then giving us our privacy the remainder of the day was perfect.  We always felt safe on the main floor due to your key pad locks and we will absolutely be back.  I have told many friends about your B & B and will continue to highly recommend you to anyone looking for a fantastic place to kick back and relax.  Take care, Lynn and Rob Willson, Dutton, Ontario.

Dear Gloria and John, My wife and I would like to express our sincerest thanks and appreciations for making our stay a wonderful and exonerating experience. An exotic suite with beautiful mural décor and poetic verses breezes in the breathtaking moments that were had by both of us. Lakebreeze is indeed a home away from home and plus much more. With our best wishes and regards, Nath and Semo.

Wonderful B and B in a quaint town within a drive of The Falls. The room was spectacular and the service was perfect. Gloria took the time to map out places to visit in the area, had menus on hand and recommendations for hidden gems in the town, and was accommodating to our timeline. It was a pleasure to stay at Lake Breeze and we would be happy to return. Smocks, Rochester, NY

Hi Gloria, It feels like it must be time to return....We have a house in the country.  We have a cottage on a lake.  BUT...V A C A T I O N  is spelled LAKEBREEZE.  The only respite we had this summer, and even until now, was the time we spent at LakeBreeze.  It was soooo luxurious to take the time to relax on the veranda, walk along the canal, enjoy the neighbourhood restaurants or just sit and visit.  The concert in the park was enjoyable.  We just love the Big Band sounds and those young musicians are very talented, it’s good to see them getting a chance to play and sing wonderful music.  The tall ships were very interesting this year, particularly the one crewed exclusively by women.  They are such stately ships.  With the weather being so hot this summer, it was a pleasure just to sit and veg on the veranda and see the world come to us (particularly the Classic Cars.)  I hope
you have us booked in for the Canal Days of 2011—similar to this year (Thurs to Mon—5 days.) I’d ask whether there was anything exciting coming up in Port Colborne, but I usually find that you know lots of exciting things on the horizon.  Please let me know.  We might be able to spring ourselves loose.  Heaven knows we need a break. Love to hear from you soon, Live well, Laugh often,
Love Much Diane and Gord Rennie

When we chose LakeBreeze to stay, we saw from the pictures how the place looked. But we were TOTALLY blown away at how much more wonderful it was in reality! Everything in the suite had a great artistic flare from the 3D crafts on the wall to the layout of the towels in the bathroom. The place was extremely clean, we even had dishes and utensils to cook and eat with plus a washer and dryer for our dirty laundry. The host, Gloria, was fabulous! She was not only knowledgable of Port Colborne but of the Niagara Region in general. Her breakfasts were great too and gave us the kick we needed to wake up and get our day started (we are NOT morning people :) ) She told us about Nickel Beach, Long Beach and had a wealth of information about the do's and don'ts of the area. In general, it's a great place to get away for a weekend and just relax with lots of stuff to do outdoors if you're into that, if not, it's still a great place to just hang out and relax with friends and loved ones. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants a break away from the city. Gabriel Amaral and Hema Rampersad from Toronto, Ontario

Stayed in the beautiful and spacious Heritage Suite with my 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters. Gloria couldn't have been more accommodating. The breakfasts were fabulous. Gloria thought of everything. Will definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend Lake Breeze to anyone. Joan, Kathy, Karen, Julia and Olivia from Pennsylvania

Thank you for the opportunity to experience a glimpse of Port Colborne as it was in days gone by.  You have done a marvellous job of restoring this home.  We enjoyed our stay immensely and appreciate your attention to detail as pertains to the comforts of your guests.  Your demeanour with the children in particular made us feel more like guests with an old friend than weary travellers in a hotel.  Best of luck in your future endeavours.  Stephen, Jennifer, Zack, Tristan & Bobby

Dan and I really enjoyed the LakeBreeze.  By far the most beautiful suite we have stayed in.  The water in the fridge was a nice touch for cyclists.  The location was very convenient.  Thanks again for the lovely accommodations. Michelle
